CompCensus is a company located in Boston, U.S.A. that allows users to compare and contribute occupational statistics.
CHALLENGE
Basically, they needed some “gamification” elements to their website in order to promote further interaction.
SOLUTION
One solution was to come up with a hexagonal badge system that would reward the user and also as act as a visual representation of information rather than boring text or charts.
THE RESULT
This was exactly what CompCensus was looking for and really took to the idea. Hexagons can make some interesting layouts and the badges would help to motivate people to share more information. The collection of data is dependant on the users, so earning these sleek “Hex Badges” had a maximum effect for minimal effort.
